Nora’s Playhouse is proud to introduce our newest additions to the team, Julie Kling and Sharon Friedman!

Julie will be joining us as an Artistic Associate to help with all the upcoming readings and productions we have planned for 2015!

Sharon is an Associate Professor at NYU Gallatin. We are excited to have Sharon’s literary expertise to cultivate scripts and shape our artistic vision.

Dear Friends of Nora’s:

As the calendar year comes to a close, Nora’s Playhouse would like to thank you for your loyal support of our theatre company dedicated to telling women’s stories.

With the help of donors like you, we have had a very exciting 2014. This past May, Nora’s presented a staged reading of Laurence Leamer’s Rose, based on the life of Rose Kennedy, on the main stage at New York Theatre Workshop. The incomparable Kathleen Chalfant played Rose Kennedy to a packed audience, and the response was extremely positive. As a result, Nora’s has committed to produce a full run of Rose with Ms. Chalfant in New York in the fall of 2015. We are also looking forward to our reading of Francoise by Suzanne Trauth in February in New York and our reading of Wash, Dry, Fold by Nedra Pezold Roberts in May in Montgomery, Alabama.

Nora’s Playhouse is growing quickly, and 2015 promises to be a big year, but we can’t take these next steps without you.
