The Nora Salon: Final Flight is July 7th!

The next gathering of our monthly reading series, The Nora Salon, is Friday, July 7th.
We hope you’ll join us for a glass of wine, friendly conversation,
and an informal reading of Olivia Z. Cote’s play: Final Flight.

When an asteroid long ago predicted to cause a global mass-extinction suddenly appears in the sky, seventeen year-old Gabbi Raleigh is forced to confront the troubling realization of her own mortality. Gabbi, along with her dying mother and estranged aunt, wildly attempts to make sense of both global and familial chaos. Meanwhile, a therapist haunted by her troubling past receives a visit from a personal hero in a turn of events that just may set both their souls at rest. All have to wonder: Is fulfillment attainable? And if so, can one find it in just forty-eight hours?

The Nora Salon: 2Y20M is June 9th!

The next gathering of our monthly reading series, The Nora Salon, is Friday, June 9th.

We hope you’ll join us for a glass of wine, friendly conversation, and
an informal reading of excerpts from Catherine Castellani’s play: 2Y20M.

In 1991, a crew of eight were sealed into Biosphere 2 to conduct the largest closed-system experiment ever devised or attempted. Two years and twenty minutes later they emerged: skinny, triumphant, controversial, celebrated, and maligned. This is one story of their before, during, and after and what it meant for conducting science on a grand scale.
